Old Brick Line Drawing

Educational Outreach

At the heart of the CHS mission is providing opportunities to learn.

  • Lectures and Demonstrations - Railroads, early New England furniture, antique quilts, and flower arranging have been topics of past programs.
  • Abraham Pierson School Program – Primary-school students tour Old Brick, work with old tools, study early maps and photos, and sample herbs at a program designed just for them.
  • The Clinton Historical Society Ernest C. Burnham, Jr. Scholarship is awarded annually to a graduating senior of The Morgan School “who has shown a genuine appreciation of history and has demonstrated outstanding achievement in the field”.
  • Periodic production of publications and films including the booklet, A Walk through Historic Clinton and the DVD, Clinton – Our Town.
